I've known George McDowell for two decades. It saddens me that it hasn't been four decades. I'd be better, smarter and likely more successful if I would have met him in 1978 instead of 1998.

Of all the things I can tell you about George, the one that stands out -- underlined and in bold -- is that he's the most honest, trustworthy human being I've ever encountered. In his volunter work on my website, he has in his files every significant username and password in my life, including those for my bank and PayPal accounts. And not a nickel has ever disappeared.

I have no idea who George is running against or anything about their character. But I know George. And I know, no matter what the endeavor, that he'll put every ounce of his energy into making it something your community would be proud of. I'm not sure how you can ask for anything else from elected leaders.
